I have NFC where this draft is at, nor what pick I got from my proxy to you (as instructed) from yesterday...

And at this point I'm not sure that I care anymore...

Assign me whomever you wish, and I'll play the team out, but not interested in being in any league that you commish moving forward...

I like the team I've drafted, but I expressed a concern night before the draft that I thought some teams were going to be unnecessarily skipped and the league would be unequal. I'd be just fine if we wanted to take the same owners and redraft, except with nobody being skipped, and just play out the league when we finish. With agressive sitemailing, we would not take forever, and everybody would truly get to pick in their slot.

I'm happy with my team, it helps I've had the 2nd pick, but I agree, this has been a mess for some owners.  Also, there is no "punishment' if somebody goes over the allotted maximum $.

I'm for a redraft, however I feel many will bail if that is the case.

To be honest, I would not mind having each group assigned randomly via random.org.  The concept is each pair/group is close to every other pair/group (with maybe the exception of Bonds).  Still have the salary cap (with the Bonds exception already discussed) and allow owners to finish out the teams within the cap.  Deciding the best park for your team will be important based on the nature of the team you end up with.

The draft did get messy.  I am trying to figure out how that can be done better in the future, but I do not have alot of experience with that on this service.

The owners must have made their OWN MESS.  I know who has been picked and I know who is still available.  It was not tough to keep track.  I definately do not want to redraft but I guess I will if I have no choice because I want to stay in this league.

Paulf, it was just a suggestion on my part because it has been very hard for some owners to keep up. I have not had an issue myself either.

I  realize that Coach.  I didn't mean to sound that way.  I just find it frustrating that after 7 days of making sure I was available for my time slot, and keeping track of who
was picked etc,  I may have to do it all over again and not get the players I wanted.

My problem is very simple;

The commish in his original post set up a process to handle owners who might miss their time slot; i.e., email HIM w/ your proxy...NO problem, sounds like a plan...

HOWEVER, then he disappears for 24 (or 36 by now?) hours and everything goes to hell...Doubt I was the only owner who didn't get their proxy handled...I understand family/kids/stuff, BUT in THIS draft w/ the commish accepting responsibilty for proxies, he should have put the draft either 'on hold' or suspended until he was avail...Should/would have been a simple thing to do...Now, as far as I'm concerned, he's burned himself as a commish...

Just one guy's opinion (and we all know opinions are like a$$holes)...

i definitely missed some slots but iam ready to go with who i have...

My only real issue is the stadium selection. Why should owners who have the luck of a high draft pick have an advantage over those of us who draft later. When you say first come first serve for stadium selection I have no chance at being the first to choose. So if someone is unlucky enough to get the last pick in the 1st round, they also get the last pick in the final round and no chance to pick a stadium that might benefit their team.
