I might have overreached for pitchers.  I've got 1550 innings and no hitters . . . at all.

It looks like 20 sets of picks are in.

I have sent my 3rd round picks.

I have just 1 player on my roster through the first 2 rounds!  Is it possible to have a "do over"?

Kodos to all you guys that got the BIG NAME  pitchers & batters, you got Lucky, or maybe NOT?  Remember, the cap is ONLY around 100mil, so if you spend 50-60mil on just a couple of players...  GL!

I think I would rather have a team of Average Joes, that might over-achieve, than have a team with a FEW BIG names & the rest scrubs?  If I would have gotten all of my first 12 picks, I would have had 60-70mil on my roster already & been Up the Creek, with the cap - Just my opinion.

Dude: There's no cap to this league.

DAMN! 0-6 IN RND 2?  All of the SP is gone & I have 2 players!  Looks like I am about to WASTE 13 BUCKS!  Can you give us an alphabetized listing, so I can update my stuff & try to figure out WHO is left?
Not at all good sir.  We are early and everyone will have holes on their team.  No one will have a team of all stars.  One thing I have learned is the results are not completely random.  There are probabilities, granted, they don't always pan out.  But sometimes you get Mike Schmidt and George Brett on the same team.
1979 Brett can play 1B, well kind of, if NJBigwig can settle for a D/A+ playing at 1B?  I guess that rating has PLENTY of Range, he just cant CATCH the ball!  Ha, ha!

The original post said "the cap will be around 100mil", I agree this is a little VAGUE?  I got caught up in this on the last league, I stuck to the strict cap & left OFF a player that would have cost me an extra 500K-1mil, to get under the cap!  I would guess that "around 100mil" SHOULD have a LIMIT, say 105mil, BUT over 110mil should NOT be allowed?  What do you say Spot?

I don't think we need a cap.  The whole idea is to choose whether to "take a chance" on nobody else drafting a star, or to try to "outsmart' everyone by choosing less talented guys that won't get blocked.  Either way - I got screwed.

The classified ad says "it will play at around $100 million".   No reference to a hard cap.  Most of the high-priced players aren't eligible since they're picked by more than one owner, so everyone plays between $85 and $105 million.   I'll be surprised if anyone goes over $105 million, but I've been surprised before.

The point is, take the best player eligible and hope no one else does.  And don't take any of my players!

Draft strategies aside, there is no cap. It's not up for vote.

I agree.  This is my third or 4th time in the league and I haven't quite figured it out yet.  All I know is that my first time in this thing I panicked after the first couple of rounds because I didn't get any pitching.  Even though I didn't win anything that year I realized unless you were extremely lucky in getting a bunch of studs through we all ended up about the same around that $100 million cap which means everyone has some type of weakness.

Correct sir.  Of course you can go way over 100m filling your roster with 14 full time hitters and 2300 innings.  I find on a practical level, my teams come in at 100m and see no need for a cap.  It works fine.
