Fixed, thank you

5th round picks sent.
Through the first 4 rounds only 7 players on my roster!

I'm still picking my starting lineup when I should be filling my bench.  The top 250 SPs' seasons are already gone, SSs are scarce, and little power left.

On the other hand, you have 800 excellent innings of starting pitching plus almost 300 of strong relief (including over 100 from Bruce Sutter, one of the best closers in this theme).  Roseboro is one of the top catchers, always a tough position in Pick Six.  I'm not saying you have the best team, but a) what you have is very strong, better than most team's talent levels, and b) look at a lot of the other teams - some have even fewer players, and many who have more players have mediocre talent.  One solid round, and it all turns around for you.

My starting pitchers have plenty of innings, but they are not quality innings.  The best SP on the staff, Rau, has a .236 OAV and 1.12 WHIP -- not very good by WIS standards.  (Pitchers from this era normalize poorly anyway.)  They all have HR/9 stats that are too high.  Sutter should be very effective in this league if he can get in enough save situations.  One of my 4th round picks, McMahon, could be a good setup pitcher, but can the starters get to the 6th inning often?

1964 Roseboro is an excellent catcher, one of the most difficult to run against in all of WIS, but he doesn't usually hit very well.  And with only 475 PA, he will need a lot of bench time.  (I had picked Bench and Torre in the 1st round and Munson in the 2nd round who have comparable arms, can hit well and have enough PA.)

I have no position players other than Roseboro, and I still need another SP and one or more RPs.

But, I agree with you that IF I can get 5 or 6 of my picks in the next round, it will turn my team around.

I have played in many leagues with Razorclams, I can't believe he is going to bail in the middle of a draft.  I know he understands the situation he proposes to put us all in.

This is the best league format in the sim. You should be screening potential owners if that's what it takes.

I'm willing to take over his team and submit picks only after my original team is full (which might only be another round or two). Consider that as a possible solution.

This, if it comes to pass, in unbelievable.  I agree with Spot; I've played a lot with Razorclams and find it hard to fathom he would bail at this point.  It can't just be he's had a less-than-perfect draft; anyone who'd played this regularly has had the 'completely suck' season.  It happens.

The reason given is lame too: unless his work situation has changed dramatically between the time of sign-ups and now, he's an experienced-enough owner to know what time commitment a league like this requires and ergo know whether he could commit to it.

My hope is that either there's a gross misunderstanding going on, or he was momentarily frustrated/exhausted.  If not, I know it's going to be hard to get a replacement owner at this point: i'll see if I can recruit somneone.

Welcome back!  Too bad you had a brain freeze and threw away 2 picks.

Maybe you can make it up with this round's picks.

I am not going to be able to start opening picks today, they are not all in anyway.  I am missing five sets.
Darn it Mike - you're killing me. Now I'll have to spend time with my wife.
