Spoon takes the Amazin New York Mets

I'll play Devil's advocate..I love the pitching of the Mets, but can they score enough runs???? Order some earplugs, all those jets flying overhead will give you a headache...

Here's a pic of Citi Field. I'd post a pic of Shea, but it was too ugly for public consumption...

Speaking of ugly, what was the ugliest stadium? I'd have to say Riverfront, Three Rivers, Busch or the Kingdome. WTF were they thinking, putting a dome on a stadium in the beautiful northwest? Good riddance, what an eyesore...Talk about hot, Busch was terribly uncomfortable in the dog days of summer. Artificial turf in a cement toilet of a stadium....Adios to all those concrete nightmares..

Pini, don't bother to pat yourself on the back....get your keepers in, don't make me have to go lookin' for you..

Metrodome has got to be near the top of the ugly list. Concrete monstrosities are never appealing.

Yessiree Bob, I forgot about the stadium lined with a Hefty bag....Fugly.

Why couldn't the HWMNBN jackhole have been in the Metrodome signing baseballs when the roof collapsed?

Oakland is the worst stadium I've been to, though I hear the Trop is even worse.

Most of those "multipurpose" stadiums built in the 60's and 70's have thankfully been retired.  I've been to the Metrodome.  Yuck.  By far the worst park I've seen in person, especially when it's less than half full.  Other parks I've been to are Fulton County, Kaufmann, Busch (both old and new), Wrigley, Miller Park, Great American Ballpark and Citizens Bank Park.  I found all of the newer parks to be very nice...my favorite experience might have been at Great American, as I sat in the upper deck behind home plate with a great view of the Ohio River.

Living near St. Pete, I have been to many Rays games and can say the Trop is a poor excuse for a stadium but not the worst. I give you Shea, the Metrodome, Veterans Stadium and the old Tiger Stadium as way worse examples.

I have seen rats larger than cats at the Vet, urinals leaking through gaping holes in the ceiling above at Shea and, my personal favorite, a running gun battle in the (empty) outfield bleachers one night at old Tiger Stadium. No one cared because almost no one was there.

I actually was on the field & in the dugouts for filming as an extra on Moneyball, & believe me when I say that the high school field that I coach baseball at (St. Francis) is 10 X better than the A's stadium

I will take the Dodgers

one of my fondest memories of my youth was a game on July 9, 1971 at the beloved Oakland Alameda County Coliseum. I only remember the date because I still have the stub. A's vs Angels 21 innings long with a 1-0 A's win at the end. Was so wasted sitting out in the bleachers drinking wine with other people who had given up on the game. The AL had, don't know if they still do now, a rule where you could not start a new inning after a certain time. I believe it was 1am. when the A's finally won, fireworks went off and you'd have thunk they won the WS. lotta fun. couldn't hardly see home plate with the Hubble telescope it was so far away but then, I was having trouble seeing anyway. I actually think it might have been one of the longest games (inning wise) in AL history at the time.
