I believe you don't have to create any team at all. You just go into the live game application, and select the 63 Mets and play your opponent with the team provided from that season.

Yeah, you don't need to build a team.  You just use the real team.

Hoses is correct. You play exhibition with the team int he database. You challenge your opponent. When you select teams you would take the team that your team selected example 63 Mets and your opponent would select their team example 1962 Mets. Then you would play an exhibition game and report the score here in the forum. Each member of your team will use a DIFFERENT starter. That starter may only be used by that one person, they may NOT be used by anoterh member of your team as a reliever or a starter. Relief pitchers may only be pitchers that actually pitched more times from the pen than as a starter. That info can be found at baseball reference.com. And it IS a non eliminatiopn round, as I said in the post, we will have a second part to the NY challenge.

I apologize. Just wanted to get it started...I did post eaerlier that I wanted to start this week, but I did not give an exact start time. If needed I will extend the first challenge, but I really want to stick to deadlines so we don't have the same sceanrio that happened with this season's survivor, which has completed 1 challenge in the last month.

  I think there was also some pressure from some of us members wanting to get this thing going. So no worries Sabre!

Please read my earlier post regarding this.

If I need to, we can wait until Monday to start. I am leaving for a funeral Sun morning and will be out of contatc unitl late Monday afternoon. I wanted to get the ball rolling before I left. If Team 2 and 4 can just get in, then we can get started. I have site-mailed to let people know (last night). That would make 36 hours (from the time i first posted we were starting until) before the team picking deadline of today at 6:00, if folks do not check in to their sitemail or forums every 36 hours, I do not know if they will be able to make any of the league deadlines...

Okay. In order for all to get up to speed. I will suspend the start of the race until Monday at 6 p.m. We are only delaying the start. I will not allow any delays once we get going. As I said before I want this to go like clockwork. Those that are prompt will reap the benefits.

Once again, Race begins Monday at 6 pm eastern. Teams 2 and 4 please get you Met teams in by then.

If Team 2 submits a team by the deadline, yes.

Yes, 4 will get what is left.
