The 80 Yanks' bullpen was lights-out as expected with 6 shutout innings, but Tommy John gave up 2 runs in the first and, scratch and claw though we did, we couldn't get more than 1 off of Guidry and Gossage.  Good game Sabreclub.  Let's get 2 of these final 4 games Red Team!

Mike Norris was brilliant.  Complete game, 6 hitter, with only a Frank Thomas solo shot in the ninth to mar the shutout.  Taint's 1980 A's roll over the Warren Spahn led 1961 Braves, 6-1 .  Spahn was let down by his defense as they commited 3 errors in the field that led to two unearned runs.  Rickey Henderson was 3 for 5 with a double and stolen base to lead the A's.  Jeff Newman had a clutch, bases loaded pinch hit single with the sacks jammed in the top of the 7th and Mario Guerrero had two hits.

Great writeup Taint! You have a future in sportswriting. Some writers consider it a good thing to include the score, but some writers are far too predictable!

Lets go red we only need 1 of the last 3. And I think we are favored in at least 2 of the 3. I like the Twins team way more than the Tigers (though I am from Minnesota) and I like anyone against soxyanks. I didnt even bother to look into the 3rd game.

MIDNIGHT THURSDAY
If your game has not been played by noon Thursday, you may play it against Sparky. Either I or someone from the other tribe needs to witness the game from the start.
Deadline is Thursday night.
