I will answer a bunch of these.
BastanRedsox – How much did you consult with the tribe before sending in a list of teams?
We had both sets of Dodgers teams choosen. The NY Giants down to 3 teams and no work on the SF Giants. Bastan and I were playing a live game and we thought picking homefield would be important. I told him to pick between the 3 NY Giants teams and I worked on the SF Giants. We submitted before the game was over. In retrospect I dont think this is what lost us the game as the SF Giants was the team we did the least work on and they came out okay.
dolpinsfan – Do you think it helps you to have won your game in each of the first two tribal challenges? Or do wins and losses not matter much?
Wins and losses always matter. Are they always the prevailing decision? No but they matter.
toddleduc/eman7400 – After the two of you took down Drysdale and Koufax, things looked good for Red. When the lead was 4-1, did everyone on the tribe assume your group was safe? I know I did.
tropicana – Neither tribe used Koufax’s best- or second-best season (judging them by whip, erc# or salary). Might that have been a mistake?
As the person who did much of the research on the Koufax Dodgers I will say that we had a good year of Koufax and you cant just base off of getting the one pitcher. You had too choose 2 pitchers, and the offense and defense to go with it.
kneeneighbor – As one of three people to have received Idol clues from me, how goes the search? Should others worry that you have one or are getting close?
I honestly cant say how close I am to finidng it. And after seeing how they have played out the past two Survivors I am not sure I want to.
steveymer – 1908 Mathewson was the best SP used in this challenge (judging them by whip, erc# or salary). Did he completely shut your Dodgers down with the challenge on the line?
It sounds like we never had anything going against him.
The Taint – Blue’s sweep with the 1908 Giants led the comeback. In an 11-10 game, were there things you could have done differently to get the win?
There are always times you can look back and wonder what if I did this, or what if this had happened. Its what makes baseball a great game. All the possibilites that pop up even pitch to pitch.
