BTW- I realize that there is an advantage to winning and getting byes, but...there is a disadvatage to not being able to use pitchers who have been resting for 3-4 rounds while the losers bracket has played out...not very realistic. In a double elim tournament like the College World Series teams that roll through the winners bracket, get the advantage of being able to use their top starters because they have been resting while the others play out the losers bracket.

Which, by the way, makes what the Gamecocks did this year even more impresive. GO GAMECOCKS!!!

Yeah this was somethign I realized about 2 rounds into the tournamnet but didnt want to change mid tournamnet. For future double elims we will change the rest period from games to days.
