Tribe 2 will be sending someone home. Tribe 2 members should respond to the question below addressed to them, and feel free to respond to others. Votes must be received by midnight Monday. Anyone wishing to play an Immunity Idol must let me know you are doing that when you vote, and no later than midnight Monday.

nfet: You had the two strongest 1998 teams based on record. How were the teams assigned? Did Bastan do that on his own or was there some discussion?

FishNasty
: Did this group work as a tribe, or is it two separate groups based on alliances rather than trying to win and send avoid voting someone off?

BastanRedsox
: How much research went into the choice of teams? Tribe 1 spent two days studying options, Tribe 2 less than an hour. Were there better options than 1998?

acketyack
: We are down to 10 players, so those voted out from here to the finish will form the final jury. How does that affect the game and voting?

dubrightway: With eight days to get the games in, how did you and kneeneighbor never get together? Both of you had bonuses that could have swung the challenge, and didn’t get a chance to use them. Were there times set up that didn’t get followed through on?

No times were ever set.

I talked to a couple of people in our tribe and had previously done this research for a league I am in the WIS championships, so I kinda knew where I wanted to go. I thought 1998 was a fair mix of offense and defense with good pitchers for every team out there from top to bottom. I was hoping that some of the bonus' would get used, but that didnt happen. In my opinion, I still like 1998, and feel like if we did it all over again, we would still have a chance to win.

i think everyone is always careful around this time. No one ever wants to screw anyone but at this point you want to make sure you also have the votes come tribal council

The main goal is to win and work as a tribe.  Makes it hard when other's aren't around though

how did we not get together? Opposite schedules, sounds like we both were on, just not at same time.

Bastan assigned the teams; he didn't ask me much nor did I offer up much.  I don't know how much discussion went on with others.  I have no problem with how things went down.

Just need one more vote.

I'll vote if that would help move things along...

The votes are in! Anyone want to use an Immunity Idol? No? OK, on to reading the votes. As always, votes are read in an order determined by random.org, and once a player has enough votes to be eliminated, no more votes will be read. The player voted out may post one farewell and is asked to not otherwise discuss strategy with those still playing.

The first vote is for BastanRedsox

The second vote is for BastanRedsox

Two votes for Bastan, none for anyone else. Three votes remaining.

Third vote: dubrightway

Fourth vote: dubrightway

Two votes for BastanRedsox, two votes for dubrightway

If the fifth vote is for someone else and there is a tie, dubrightway and BastanRedsox will play a one-game challenge for survival.

The fifth and final vote in this week's challenge...

And the seventh person voted out of Survivor 3

is

dubrightway.

The tribe has spoken dubrightway. Some surprises in this round, I must say.

Just for soxyanks … Celebrate Pete Rose’s latest sincere, tearful and heartfelt apology over being caught (beyond all doubt, reasonable or otherwise) by seeing which Hit King can keep a tribe intact. Tribe 1 gets to choose Pete Rose or Ty Cobb, and Tribe 2 gets the other. Two players from Tribe 1 will sit one game of the challenge out and visit the dreaded Exile Island. Each tribe will choose 4 different seasons of their player, with each tribe member (or pair of members) using one of those teams twice in a two-game series against the other tribe. Different starting pitchers must be used in each of the two games. There are no captains for this challenge; first person to send me choice of player will speak for his tribe. After that, a list of four teams to be used must be submitted by midnight Wednesday. I will use random.org to determine who goes to Exile Island and who plays with which of the four teams.

Deadline for playing games is midnight Monday.

The person on the losing tribe who gets the most hits from his Hit King will receive individual immunity for this round. So post hits by your King along with scores.

soxyanks12 has nabbed the lying, cheating denyer who will never get a spot in the Hall of Fame for Tribe 1. Tribe 2 gets the ornery, racist SOB who probably would have killed in the most painful way possible anyone who tried to keep him out of the Hall of Fame. Enjoy!

Josh - just to clarify, and again not argue....

1. Is it 5 teams, or since tribe 2 only has 4 members, do we choose only 4 teams

2. Whichever tribe member sends a list of teams first, those are set?

3. For immunity, is it first who has most wins followed by hits by guy, or just hits by guy?

THANKS!
