To make things semi-interesting, the 1935 Cubs beat the 1906 Cubs in game one, 2-0.  Mordecai was dominant, giving up only 4 hits...but the Cubs offense couldn't get a big hit. 11 baserunners, and more than twice as many hits as the 35'ers (9-4), but couldn't get the big hit when they needed it. Johnny Evers was a black hole at the top of the lineup, going 0-5, and that was a big problem.

Annnnd....the door is shut.

The 1906 Cubs turn around with ANOTHER great pitching performance, but come up with the win this time, 3-0. Jack Pfiester threw a one-hit shutout, and got a little clutch offense from the top of the lineup this time to ice the win for sox and I.

I cant seem to ever match up with Taint.

what's the situation with Survivor?
11/2/2010 9:28 AM
The situation is that I had a weekend from hell with work (8 a.m.-3 a.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 a.m. Sunday), and will be pretty busy today and tomorrow. I hope to find time tonight to get things updated, but may not be able to. The good news is that things start to slow down significantly for me over the next week to 10 days, so I'll be pushing the final rounds along much more      uickly. Sorry for the delays, but we'll get back on a good pace shortly.

If any remaining games are played before I get a chance to update, they will count. If not, I will either sim them or make some sort of arbitrary ruling so we're not delayed further.

I think I'm going to go the way of Toddleduc and ask that you all vote for me...I just don't have the time the next couple of weeks to do much.
