Survivor III *** CHAMPION CROWNED! Topic

My goodness...just a barnburner of a series. Mordecai continued to disappoint, too...Don Beebe, in case anyone ever wondered....sucks.  Just sayin'.

Ack, great series. Really great.

And confirmed, by the way...

Time to vote! acketyack has individual immunity and no one can vote to send him home, unless he wishes to give that immunity to someone else (if he does, any votes cast before he announces that would be invalid and the player would vote again). If anyone wishes to play a hidden immunity idol, he must do so before the votes are read. Hidden idols cannot be played after the game is reduced to the final four players. Deadline for voting is midnight Friday, but earlier would be good. Please answer the question addressed to you and any others you care to.

soxyanks12: Do concerns about a Hidden Idol affect your voting or discussions of alliances, or do you just take your chances and vote how you would have anyway?

tropicana: Acketyack went 6-1 in this challenge. Lucky or great selection of team?

BastanRedsox: How did the voluntary withdrawals of toddleduc and The Taint affect the last two rounds? Was there someone who would have gone home who is now a threat to win it all?

kneeneighbor: You said several times that you expected to be out of the game early, but here you are in the final six. How do you think you survived?

nfet: How many of the remaining six Survivors do you think have more alliances than they will soon be able to honor?

acketyack: Does having immunity affect your vote this round?

Good question....actually tho the question u posed to Bastan is much more relevent...

Just like anything there was some luck involved...The only other team I looked at to choose, actually, was that 76 Reds team, and decided against it because I didn't think that there was enough starting pitcing, and then, ironically, the starting pitching of the 1906 Cubs failed me, and his was pretty damn solid.  So, to some extent, I feel lucky...

But at the same time, his team pasted mine, and it took a fluke not worth going into to force it to the third game even, so I think it was pretty clear that, with luck or whatever, it was a great team selection.

And to answer nfet's question too, I really feel as though there is one solid alliance oof a couple/three/four guys that is leaving the rest of us scrambling. I haven't been approached by anyone, so I guess I'll be voting by conscience...and fight the power and vote the only person who deserves to be voted out, ackety, for beating me.  That big jerk.  Idol be damned!!! I WILL BE AVENGED!!! LOL....

the fluke trop mentioned is my wife's fault - she was complaining about something and forced me to miss bringing in a reliever with 1 out in the 8th ... needless to say BOOM 2-run homer.

Honestly, playing that series against Trop was a blast.

Immunity doesn't change how i'd vote (and to answer the question posed to Bastan, I think i'd have gone 2 rounds ago and probably in this round were it not for the drop outs and immunity.)

As for nfet's question, I think what hampers a lot of us is that we really enjoy playing against one another. It isn't as secure as an "alliance" per se, but unlike in past WIS survivors, there aren't true "villians" and "heroes," y'know. There aren't two "tribes" pitted against each other after the merge. i think that makes it even tougher. Josh has mixed and matched and moved us around so much that it has made the game that much more intriguing.

It gets tougher and tougher - i have a bunch of people left that I will have a hard time voting out and an EASY time voting for when I get on the jury -

By riding sox's coattails.

Let me give another answer to that as well. I think I have played about as good and as lucky of a game as I could have. I know going into one of the previous challenges I had the best record of those left (which is shocking for me as my teams are never good in sim league) Also every time the tribes were changed up I didnt seem to get stuck in a place where the numbers were significantly stacked against me. I also have been fortunate to be working with other survivors who like ackety said have been enjoyable to be around and play with so there has not been much animosity this whole game.

Looks like we have our clubhouse leader in the sucking up standings.

Assuming you are the sixth and not one of the five, reminds me of my kids' elementary school days. ...

"The teacher got mad at us today. I was just sitting there quietly, and everyone else was fooling around."
"I don't know why the ref called a foul on me! The other players were all getting very rough."
"The whole class was being loud and rude, except for me."

Damn....is our host getting snarky????

ha ha ha - love it ...

thanks josh ...

at least i'm the clubhouse leader in something -

Yeah, sure... If you want to call that snarky who am I to disagree. I could point out that if I really get snarky there won't any question about it, but that would be a distinction lost on the likes of all of you. For clarity, in the future I'll start posts that include real snark with a warning — Caution: Sarcasm Ahead! Start holding your breath now and I'll be sure to let you know when to stop.
