A huge upset series victory by Tribe 2 as my 2005 Astros sweep Josh's 2004 Red Sox.
Game 1 @ Fenway: Astros 7, Red Sox 2. W: Clemens. L: P. J. Martinez. Ensberg's 2 HR (solo & 2-run) seal the deal as Clemens stays strong through 6 2/3 with 2 runs allowed and 4 K.
Game 2 @ Minute Maid: Astros 5, Red Sox 4. W: Qualls. L: Embree. Sv: M. Burns. Ensberg again the hero with a 2-run HR plus an RBI double that proved to be the difference. Two plays at the plate were key. In bottom 7th, Biggio beat Ortiz's throw home on Berkman's grounder to make it 4-3 right before Ensberg's double. Half inning later, after Mueller's RBI single cuts the Astros' lead to 5-4, Lidge throws Pokey Reese out at the plate. Finally, after walking Mueller to load the bases in the top of the 9th, Mike Burns having bailed out Russ Springer who had bailed out Brad Lidge an inning earlier, struck out Bellhorn to clinch the series, ending a game which also saw Wheeler bail out Pettitte in the 5th after Manny had hit a solo HR to tie it at 3-3.
