So what is going on with the draft? The league I signed up for said "random draft order", then there was a post saying it was snake and now we are talking about some kind of "uno" draft style. Having not played Uno I have no idea what we are talking about...Doesn't seem wise to draft until it is settled....

everyone moves up 1 slot each round after you get a 1st round pick you go to the end of the pack (24th) for next round....everyone gets a 1st round pick in 1 round

So, I won't get the first pick until round 20. Was there any thought to randomizing the top WAR players? Seems like the folks from rounds 19- on are pretty screwwed since they don;t get a top five selection until we are WAYYYYY down the talent pool. Ohh, wow, I get first dibs on SCOTT FLETCHER AWESOME, screw the BABE, I want Fletcher!!!

If we were going to do the UNO drafting method (which I would support)  wouldn't it make sense to allow the person with the first pick in a round to pick which group we draft from during that round?  Would add more strategy to the draft and gives everyone the chance to target a need position or particular player.

I thought about that but it seemed like people preferred to go round by round, like we are.

Let's not make any picks until tomorrow morning. Let me get a few things ironed out, although I think we are on the right path.

I'll get the rest Of the rounds laid out with the UNO draft style, like we have now. It's seems like the most fair

see sabres point.  if you are picking late it is horrible as all the good players are early and by the team the latter half picks early who cares.  You almost would need to randomize each round as well, so picking late may end up with some of the better rounds as a potential. 

the other option is make the draft order random each round, then it is the luck of the draw.

i don't know what the UNO draft is.
