Had a chance to see Prior in the Olympic Mausoleum in the days when you could walk up to the ticket office 10 minutes before an Expos game and get front-row seats. Unreal ability, and a loss to baseball that he blew out.

I saw him too in one of his first starts in 2002 against the Rangers and got on TV hanging about 8 homemade K signs.  Had the pleasure to watch him dominate all of 2003 on WGN my last year in Chicago... Was supposed to be as fluid & mechanically sound as Tom Seaver they were saying... so how did he lose it all and not get it back through surgery & rehab at his age?  Sad indeed... 

The Cubs had tons of momentum & mojo that 2003 season- picked up Lofton, Aramis Ramirez... They had Zambrano & Clelment to round out the rotation... they  WOULD have beaten the Yankees and won the World Series that year.  (or should have played the Red Sox if Grady had pulled Pedro when he was gassed & THEN we sould have arguably had the BEST World Series ever) Someday...
