I have nothing to gain by winning tomorrow, and nobody gains anything by Brain losing either. Talk about a virtually meaningless game (unless we lose, in which case we may get a better draft pick).

10-11th is a funny place to be. 11th is the last pick in the 2nd round, so you could get any of the guys you list 1-5. 10th is the 1st pick in the 3rd round, so you know you'll get whoever you put #1 among whoever is left.

5th-6th is like that too, I finished 6th in year one, and hit a homerun getting Schoborg with the 5th pick in the 3rd round.

also, I'd like to duck Blackie in Round 1 if I can. That's got three-gamer written all over it if it happens. Rather let Probie deal with his special teams, my old goalie Vanloh (though he sucked in the playoffs three straight years), and my old gun Dinnendahl (7-3-10 in 17 playoff GP) - both of whom have been WAY better for him than they ever were for me.

One playoff home game should be enough to get me my jet.

Shame of the year was the self-destruction of Canuck Flyers. He cut Swanick (his goalie that took him to the finals), Hitch and Bridjmohan (14 goals for Osaka) to stay under the cap. Not hanging around here, he didn't know he didn't have to do that.
