damn... Cy has gotten Minozzi, Goffney and now Luangsingotha in consecutive drafts, and six other guys w/90+ potential. If he'd play, he'd be a contender.

Tinkering with my lines, and all of a sudden, with Buntin healthy and Inguardsen a top-6, things are starting to take shape.  I may be less active in the trade market than I first thought.

At least I know who my pick will be in the next round. Also, just dumped my last pending free agent and since my payroll is at about $31M (before signing my draft pick), I won't be signing anybody this off-season. I'll just have to wait until I have 2 injuries next season.

I don't know if I'll get the 2nd guy or not.  He's actually a buddy of mine, but he went inactive in this other league.  I'll talk to him and see.

Ideally, they get in before we all get a shot at free agents.  That will **** plenty of us off, but seems like the most fair thing.

Of course, I always forget which night the talent pool gets unlocked.
I don't even know about ******* us off.

My advisors say the average player is at 70.41 overall.

The free agent list is getting $1.08 - $1.5M ffor 70 overalls.

Not a lot of value sitting there.

Hitch is a good player, but not worth almost $3.2M, the rest of the top guys are either in their 30s or have staminas in the 50s.

We'll see when the new free agent list comes out, but right now, the pickings are REAL slim.

Also Im pretty sure most of us are pretty hard against the cap if not already over it.

time to get rid of the cap!!!  can we at least put it to a vote?

Right.  I was assuming there would be some fresh fish in the pool.

So new team signups should happen after the playoffs are over and not before?

Now that the first quarter of the draft is over, is there any downside to letting new teams in now?

For what it is worth:

I say let the new teams in now.

I say keep the cap, maybe forever, but at least until half the teams exceed it.

1. Pitty, There will be fresh fish in the pool. The 80+ guys haven't been revealed and probably won't be 'til after the playoffs. The new guys can come in now, there's no downside, I just hope they know to keep some of their powder dry, and not blow the whole wad on the overpriced junk that's there now.

2. TDK, might as well send the card up to the podium so I can cross the guy off my list. Nobody can stop you.

3. Salary cap. I'll go along with the majority. I'll have Level 9 everything if I get two more playoff home games, and nothing to spend cash on. But I'm also already $12.25M over the cap too. Secret sitemail vote?

or until everyone who's active and plays hard has all their upgrades done, I could see the argument for that.

Then again, they guys who are trying to catch up, and don't even have enough room under the cap to buy ONE 80+ player have to be pretty frustrated. Hell, AJ just joined, finished 17th and is over the cap.

Exactly.  My aim is for a healthy league, 20 competitive teams.  Kind of tough if we keep making it tougher for the 'expansion' teams.

For that matter, here's all the open financial info on all the teams. Maybe i we know where everyone is at, we can debate more informed, and by knowing who has cap space, it may facilitate making deals.
