he's been bugging me for trades

he's not a GM, he's an attempted burglar.

Tried to replace the key guy coming back to me with a guy with 58 stamina.

I just laugh/snorted hot black coffee all over my laptop.

Christ, all I want is one of his 4th liners, and two offline defensemen for my #1 D. Three scrubs for a 28 y/o D, 78 overall, with 115 DEF and still  some potential. I can keep him and get 8-10 years out of him. OK, the 4th liner is a PP specialist, and one of the D was his 1st round pick. STILL. I CAN use my defenseman for a good long time.

There's no deal unless he turns loose of both Pomar and Mormile.

D are just too damned hard to come by. Especially for a brand new team with upgrades to work on. I have one, I can keep him if that guy doesn't like the price. I wasn't shopping Kovalenko. He came to me in the first place.

let me take a look right quick. I just messaged Greene Goblins, introduced myself and told him what was up. I offered Kovalenko to Greene Goblins, expecting him to reject it, but hoping the sight of me offering the guy he wants to NH Penguins biggest rival will shake loose the guys I want from him in return.

Koistinen and Schulteis gets 'er done, since we're buds.

See NH Penguins can afford to give up Kruer, the 35 year-old defenseman he's going to let walk at the end of next year. I can use him to temporarily plug the hole I create by trading Kovalenko. So he gets a front-line D without giving up anything of value (except for depth in case of injuries). Pomar is in his press box, and Mormile is on his 4th line. It's not like I'm asking him to break up his team to get the guy he wants. I'm not asking for his leading scorer, just some guys I can use that he's NOT using.
