Can we ask Biden if he thinks women should be able to get abortions in the last week of pregnancy?
Prove he ever said anything close to this swamp and I will vote the GOP ticket in every election from now until the end of time!

<<"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money." -- JC, Matthew 6:24>>

Who does Mitt serve?
Dems only serve the latter.  They are the anti-God party and are obsessed with other people's money.

When running for Senate, Obama was asked directly if he supported late term/partial birth abortions.  His response was that he was "pro-choice".

Both parties are more extreme than the citizenry at large re this issue.  The citizenry at large wants the ability to choose in the 1st trimester, heavy restrictions thereafter (rape/incest/health of mother), with no late term/partial birth abortions.  This is in line with my thought process, although I would tend to favor the only abortions allowed after the first trimester would be in cases of health of the mother.  In cases of rape/incest, you make your decision in the 1st trimester, or you're out of luck.  And don't even bring the "what if she doesn't know she's pregnant" argument, because that argument is a ******* joke.

PS:  I am sick and tired of hearing about "accidental pregnancies".  The only "accidental pregnancy" is when birth control is used and fails.  If you have sex without using protection, any resulting pregnancy is not accidental.

I think most reasonable people would agree with this.

...Says the party that's worried Guam may tip over, and is wondering if the Mars rover can see where Neil Armstrong planted the flag...

Difference is those guys can be told their comments were uneducated and stupid and they would say "oh, ok...my bad". Akin (along with too many other people including that dumbass swamphawk) believes his crap is true and can't be convinced otherwise. That's scary.
Oh, right.  I forgot how much the alphabet news is full of Democrats coming on and admitting what they said/did/thought was a mistake, and then apologize...
A 24 hours news-cycle wouldn't be enough time for all that...
Damn evil republicans....

Whether or not they come on the news and apologize is irrelevant.  When confronted with their stupidity, both retracted/corrected their statements.

Akin decided to lean on swamphawk's "medical" evidence.

None of these are medical sites, but they all say the same thing, orgasm increases the chance of pregnancy,

This doesnt mean that he was right to say it the way he did. He screwed up.

It isnt odd that no one brought this up? Anywhere?

No one brought it up because you're the only one who believes Akin was reading "tips and tricks for becoming a mommy faster" websites.

It's crazy how detached you are from reality.

Guess what? I am in total agreement with you as far as abortion is concerned. That may shock you but the room in the middle is a lot more crowded then most of us are willing to admit.

So are you willing to stand up and say that this is false?

That having an orgasm does not increase conceptions chances?

Tell me what you believe about this.

Are you saying the President and Veep do not agree with the party platform?

1) I believe that there are no scientific studies that prove anything about this.

2) I believe that Akin's remark was based off anti-abortion propaganda.

3) I believe that everybody except you and the hard-core anti-abortionist realize what you're saying is crap.

4) I believe that you are unable to cite real, independent sources for anything you believe in.

My PS in my post had a MAJOR typo.  I think everyone knew where I was going, but the correction is below (already corrected in original post):

ORIGINAL:  PS:  I am sick and tired of hearing about "accidental pregnancies".  The only "accidental pregnancy" is when NO birth control is used.  If you have sex without using protection, any resulting pregnancy is not accidental.

HOW IT SHOULD HAVE READ (AND HOW IT READS NOW):  PS:  I am sick and tired of hearing about "accidental pregnancies".  The only "accidental pregnancy" is when birth control is used and fails.  If you have sex without using protection, any resulting pregnancy is not accidental.

Guess what? I am in total agreement with you as far as abortion is concerned. That may shock you but the room in the middle is a lot more crowded then most of us are willing to admit.
It does not shock me.  I would bet 75%-80% of the people in this country are right there.  I think it is ridiculous to say no abortion ever.  I think it is ridiculous to say you can not have an abortion if  you are a victim or rape or incest.  I think the arguments for abortion in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters are likewise ridiculous.  And most importantly, I think it is barbaric to allow late term/partial birth abortions.  The one and only issue that I do not even want to discuss is the health of the mother issue when dealing with a pregnancy in the 2nd/3rd trimesters.  I don't even want to think about having to make such a decision.

As a legal matter, I believe the decision in Roe v. Wade is a joke.  I further think that the opinion is the reason this is still a major issue.  All that happens if that case is overturned is that each individual state decides the issue.  If that were to happen, I would estimate 2/3 to 3/4 of the states would keep it legal in some form.  As to the states that made it completely illegal, organizations such as NOW and Planned Parenthood in those states would shift their focus to transporting women in those states who want one, out of state to get one.

Simply, it is the extremes of both parties that give each party a bad name.  The "no abortion ever" crowd in the Repub party is not as big as the media and the Dems would have you believe.  Further, the militant abortionists are a small minority in the Dem party as well.

Again you lie! this is NOT in any official party platform. Refer to a specific plank in a printed platform and I will keep the promise I made. By the way, there is no official platform until voted on by the convention so good luck on your search dufus.
