"The left doesnt really get exposed to Conservatives."

That's so ludicrous I hardly know what to say.
It is just true.

You have to watch Fox or listen to Rush to hear a consistent conservative message.

You just need to watch stewart or SNL to hear dem talking points.
What's the difference between a "consistent message" and "talking points"?

This should be good.
Same thing why. Do I have to use the EXACT same term?

9/11/2012 10:34 PM
Nope.  But it's obvious by the minor variation in terminology that you view anything from Fox or Rush to be automatically accurate and anything from Stewart or SNL to be spin.

Of course, we knew that about you before your post.

Even if one accepted swamp's (inaccurate) sources of "dem talking points," I'm not sure why a few hours a week of SNL and Stewart is unavoidable, but 24 hours a day of FauxNews isn't.

Oh, and by the way, those programs are comedy programs. At least Stewart is. I don't watch SNL.

The reason is that you only watch Fox if you want news. Many people who are not involved in politics watch SNL and Stewart and Colbert and Maher and all the rest.

They are changing the views of people like Ford, Reagan, Palin, Malkin and the rest.

If I want news, Fox is the last place I'd go.

Also, turn the television off and get a life.

Also, I live in a relatively liberal neighborhood near a major university, but if it's possible for me to avoid conservative viewpoints, I must be doing something wrong.
9/12/2012 5:51 PM
Well how do you get exposed to a Conservative viewpoint without trying.

I am really curious?

Get in the car. Turn on the radio. Flip through channels. Rush Limbaugh. Change channels. Another channel with Rush. Change channels. YET ANOTHER channel with Rush.

Go to the vet's office. The vets (husband & wife) are tea partiers.

Football games. Hockey games. I could give tons more examples of the "interacting with the other humans" variety if you like.

Oh, and that's not even mentioning teh innerwebz.

AM radio. How many people below the age of 50 listen to it regularly.

How often does politics come up at the vets, or at a football game. And it is in passing.

So real life doesn't count, only TV programs. Only certain TV programs.

Do you even remember what your point was?

All TV Programs. Can you name one that doesnt portray conservatives in a negative way?

Most TV programs don't give a thought to portraying conservatives one way or other. You're really paranoid.

You're confusing regular conservatives and wacky, extremist conservatives such as yourself.  It's the wacky ones that are portrayed in a negative way on TV....just like wacky, extreme liberals.
