Since he's likely to get to 25 IP this year for Oakland, how will the sim handle a switch pitcher?  What will it do when he faces a switch hitter?

He got there!  Wonder if they can make him a neutral "S" thrower, set to negate any +/- vs righties or lefties?

Will putting him against a switch hitter cause an infinite loop of switching? What happens in real life when he faces a switch hitter?

In real life a switch pitcher is required to declare which hand he's going to use at the start of the at-bat.

In the SIM it will probably just result in neutral events.

Haha.... There's no way that's happening.  I bet the internal code is set up to assume a pitcher is either a rightie or a leftie.

This is awful, but not unexpected.  They had months to prepare for this, but just don't have anyone working on the product.

Got a response from WIS finally.

"Our system is not currently prepared to handle a switch pitcher. When we re-build, we'll have him in mind."

But Venditte had an infinitely better season as a lefty, don't put him as a righty. Righties hit .274/.357/.484 (135 OPS+) while lefties hit .116/.188/.256 (21 OPS+). So his future will probably be as a lefty but I would like to see him in the database as a lefty because of how effective he is as one
