Whats the best way? Who are some key players? And what are the important strategies to build an OL team around Coors? Was thinking about using it, looks awesome especially for hitters stats. Need help though, and figured you guys would know best...

The CW is that you want high average hitters with good defense and decent range.

Personally, I think a good team is mostly a good team and stadiums don't matter as much as most people think-- at least at $80m or more. The key at Coors is to manage your team so you don't overdraft IP and PA that would dilute the quality of your players.

My advice is simply to draft a good overall team of 1170-1200 ip and 4600-4800 PA. Fill your roster with 200k scrubs pitchers and maximize their use. That being written, if you haven't played many seasons, I would not recommend Coors. Heck, even if you had, I still wouldn't recommend it unless you were just jonesing to earn your Coors wings.

I just bumped a thread on getting by in Coors without over drafting pitching.

Stadiums do matter. Most people just choose neutral parks so they don't matter. My first championship was a $120 mil league. I drafted all 7+HR/100AB and played at Yankee Stadium. I like using extreme parks. Most people use neutral so thy don't matter

I didn't write that stadiums don't matter. I just think most people think they matter more than they do. More to the point in OL type formats at $80m+., it is possible to draft a low oavg, low hr9, low bb9 staff that won't be biased much by a stadium.

Zubinsum- Thanks for the input. I just want to try out Coors, seems awesome to watch an offense perform at home like it seems a team in Coors would. Which hitters have you had success with in that park? Seems like '25 Carey, albeit a cookie, fits your criteria to a tee. I like to stay away from cookies, but I might have to roll with him. Who do you like?

Carey's too much of a BB guy to really be optimal, though I'm sure he'd perform well. You want guys in the vein of '85 Willie McGee. Most of his cost is based on things other than walks.
