Name the player with the most postseason games played that was not a Yankee...and he was born in The Bronx.

Hint: Schilling started the game...
Okay so Schilling started the game. Electrical glitch. Re-started next game so I'm assuming another Starter started the next game instead of a reliever going in. So I'm thinking Randy Johnson?

Ding ding, we have a winner...

on July 18, 2001, he took over on the mound for Curt Schilling in the 3rd inning in a game that was started the previous day but suspended. Facing a San Diego Padres line-up stacked with left-handed hitters, he breezed through, striking out 16 batters in 7 innings and not giving up a run as he picked up the 3-0 win.

Yep. Amazing, 16 Ks in 7 innings, imagine if he had pitched all 9 that day?

I was thinking Pedro Martinez first but I wasn't sure if they were teammates. I think of Schilling as a Red Sox, not a D-Back or what ever other team he was on

When play resumed the next day the Padres benched Tony Gwynn and his replacement K'd twice.
the game was almost a combined no hitter.
Chan Ho Park pitched a 2 hit Sho with no walks on that same day (day 1)

This is a GREAT question.

I figured it was Mantle, but I was wrong (though he is very close.) I would NEVER have come up with the right answer.

Hmm...if you mean "most postseason games played by a guy who never played for NYY" then the answer (according to baseball-reference.com) is definitely Manny Ramirez. Who was not born in the Bronx.

If you mean "most postseason gamed played by a guy who was born in the Bronx AND never played for NYY" then I have no idea...but frankly that seems a lot less interesting.

Big Puma Lance Berkman right? I remember going to Astros games and every time he got a hit, it would show a list with switch hitters
