Unbalanced rookie rewarding Topic

How is that a very good team in my league has a Rookie pitcher with a 9 effectiveness and also a Rookie pitcher with a 10 effectiveness?  Is this just random and therefore pure luck?  I've noticed when I draft a singles hitting team I tend to get high contact #'s, low power #'s and the converse when I draft a power leaning team.

Check to see their player ranking, if they are a HoFer, likely they could have used a cheat code or two to get better rookies.  If they are veterans or all-stars, they may have some left over from before the last update, but it is unlikely.

Here's a 75 Morgan from a $90M league I'm in:  .342/.479/.504 with 75/86 SB...maybe he had a reverse cheat code for his...

It's random, but remember that these pitchers are in the same ballpark salary-wise (assuming it's not a random AAA league).  If you're talking about an OL (average AAA) then the salary range looks like this for pitchers:

SP    950,000
 to 1,849,999
RP   700,000 to 1,499,999

If you have a pitcher with 10 effectiveness, you can bet he won't have many innings.  If you have a pitcher with 1 effectiveness, you're likely to get more innings.  Both sorts of pitchers can be useful, especially in low cap leagues.
