think of the '65 Campaneris who used to be used frequently as a starting catcher (92 speed, 51-19 sb/cs, .877 contact rate, .299 hit rate with AVG# .281 all for ~$4,000,000 or about $6450 $/PA). I haven't used him in awhile, nor do I see him as often as I once did. he has an A+ arm showing a 39 CS%.
Oddly, in real life he played one inning at catcher in 1965. The only guy to try and steal on Campy was successful so his real life cs% was
-0-.... you would think he'd have a D- arm. Through the years I seem to recall some knowledgable posters indicate Campy's A+ arm was an error in the SIM data base and would be corrected. Others thought that since he was a SS, the programmers gave him the benefit of having a strong throwing arm. In any event, Campy's historical performance shows he tosses out would be basestealers at 30% clip..
