Situation: Bottom of the 9th, score tied 1-1. Find the possible error in the box score.

L.Dykstra hits a groundball single to CF. K.Lofton's throw goes home, but L.Smith slides under the tag and scores. L.Dykstra takes second on the throw home.

Um, there is (or should be) no error in the box score.. its the play-by-play that is wrong.  Even then the inconsistancy is minor...  As soon as the throw goes home, Dykstra comits to second not knowing that Smith will score. Only when Smith does score Dykstra's base running becomes irrelevant

Did they award Dykstra a double on the play?

Find the error in thewizard2's situation analysis.  Bottom of the 9th, score tied 1-1... no, it was actually the bottom of the 11th, wizard.  Sorry, couldn't resist.  :-)
