That makes sense on why you drafted that way to begin with... all of my OL teams are purely experimental and in trying new players, stadiums, or strategies... but even then, as I see the teams as purely informative, I don't care much whether they win or lose, I'm looking more at the individual pieces than the overall package. So, I tend to try to ride the players out all season because they were drafted for a reason and I want to understand something from the sim. Waiving them defeats that purpose, and since I firmly believe I'm drafting the right player for that purpose to begin with, waiving them is not going to help my cause or improve my team. If they happen to win, awesome.
In a champs league, I play to win, and even then firmly believe in who I drafted, so I don't ever really waive anyone unless I have a chance (thanks to AAA and dropping my scrubs) to actually improve a player by getting someone I couldn't have afforded during the draft or by picking up an extra role player.
