Ok I have had lots of win combos by pitcher but first time I ever had Two 40 game winner
#1 1907 Walsh 44-18
#2 1886 Caruthers 42-21
team was 111-51

A lot of owners have had two 40-game winners on a team. The bigger goal is two 50-game winners. Somebody either did it or came real close a couple of years ago.

 I can't remember who the owners were, but I believe it happened a couple of updates ago (or more).  I tried it once and had only reached one 50 game winner.

I had like 55 & a 38 before that was just 1st I ever had two 40 winners

Great.  You've given me another quest at which I can fail miserably.  Already trying to take an OL team to the playoffs with Silver King, and so far my SK teams are 32-37 and 12-15.

Now I'm going to try to have two 50-game winners on an OL team -- if I can't roll double 50's, I'll at least try to match your double 40's.  I'll probably try one team with Ed Walsh and Jack Chesbro and the other team with Tim Keefe and Chesbro or Pete Conway.  If I do a third team, I'll try it with your boy Li'l Bob and either Charlie Buffinton or the high-end Cy Young.

I'd like to keep my two starters at $36 MM, $37 MM max so I can bring in my whole pitching staff including bullpen at under $44 MM.  I don't want my bullpen to be too good or too deep, because I can't afford to bleed too many wins off into my bullpen if I really want to go 50/50.  I know Walsh isn't an ideal choice because he only has 7.03 IP/G, but he's always been my most reliable 40-game winner on other teams.  I will set him at 110/115 and hope for the best. 

I currently have a Silver King team, and after 132 games the team is only 70-62 and Silver is only 32-23. So I know I won't get 50 wins out of him.

Another thing funny about that team is that I have a AAA pitcher who has pitched 105 innings in 63 games, and has a 4.29 ERA. lol

no $80 Open League

I always think (although its not true right?) that a pitcher who is 80(100) fatigued will play worse his next game than that same pitcher who is 100% for a game in advance. 

Another ?...how many innings do the starters need in an open league where you will not have to spot start a AAA player? One never knows for sure but what is a safe #?

It just depends on how long you want your starters to go.  The lowest pitch counts for starting pitchers are 40 pitches.  If you set the pull settings high on 40/40 you might get them to average only around 35.  To do that you'd only need to draft around 350 innings worth of starters.  You'd need 800+ of pen, though.  I usually try to draft between 800 and 950 starting innings, but it really doesn't matter as long as you have enough total innings and set your pitch counts properly.

50/50 wow I no see how anyone can do that NOW in a $80 open league but guess any thing is possible

You're not likely to forge a strong winner in an O.L. with Silver King, simply because he eats up too much salary. I'd guess that the only workable formula would be a couple of "cheap" 500-600 ip starters. The trick, of course, is to have enough salary left over to put a strong team around them.
