I don't see how a WW league could be "disruptive" -- except to OTHER WW leagues, ha ha.  Put another way, if you're not in a WW league, why would you need a well-stocked WW at all times anyway?

Granted, I'm probably biased -- I'm been in a few of those leagues and enjoyed them a lot; otherwise I almost never use the WW.

Simple solution (and I'm almost certain this has been done before): When the WW needs replenishing due to a WW league, send in a ticket and request WW replenishment.

Maybe the way WIS establishes the WW should be changed.  Rather than make up the WW of players dropped, just have the SIM randomly choose say 50-75 pitchers and 50-75 hitters from its database after each of the 3 daily game times.  The SIM could also be set up so that there are some poor/mediocre/good/great players and players among different decades so that the WW satisfies the needs of most leagues.

I actually like the way it is set up now, but this would be an interesting option. Perhaps they could experiment with something like this.  Maybe this is partly the way it operates now.  As boogerlips said, and I agree, I think WIS does introduce players to the WW on its own at times.

Maybe there needs to be more than one option for the WW for commisioners to choose from when setting up a league, so that a WW league could use this method I suggested, while open leagues use the WW method that is in place now.

Admin restarted the league in question, and I thought this thread was dead. I definitely respect Bootone and Contrarian, they each have been a credit to any league I have shared with them. their comments in the forums are always valuable.with respect to their opinions, I am forced to say that while what they say is valid, and while I, myself, have been inconvenienced by my own league, inasmuch as I was unable to find a suitable replacement when I wanted to use the WW in other leagues, I enjoyed the league in question very much, and do plan on starting it up again when this season winds down. I do plan on making things a little more conservative next time, but I am certain it will still inconvenience managers in other leagues who seek the questionable relief the WW offers.

The only time I ever use the WW is when I have a team with AAA players. You drop the $200k players you drafted so you can use the AAA players and then you have $1 mil or so to upgrade one of your relievers.  That's about it.  I agree pfatt, that the WW offers questionable relief otherwise.
