I would really like to see them add what aec had over at wissearch and allow us a certain number of "teams" we can use for research or comparing teams or for progressive keepers that we can use to build teams before loading them into our actual teams for play.

They shold add EVERYTHING about that site - a phenomenal variety of stat options, you could select multiple batters or pitchers from multiple searches and compare them side-by-side will full sorting features, AAA ID features (just plug in the ratings and basic info, no need to consult the Charts), you name it.  A great site, the demise of which definitely lessened my WIS experience.

I can't argue that giving IDs that have never purchased a full-season team unlimited spring teams is a good idea.  But it seems to me if you're buying teams regularly you should have access to spring leagues.  Maybe if you haven't bought a team in a year, then you'd get cut off.

It will remain the same; however, we will be doing away with the Spring League season concept and replacing it with a first full-season free model. That way, newcomers to the game can enjoy a true season (with waivers, trades, new trade chat, promotions/demotions, etc.) and will hopefully stick around longer. We'll have to introduce some safety measures to prevent users wanting to take advantage of this with multiple accounts, but we already have those lined up."

Completely agree. that site was excellent for team building. I loved the ability to export/import my teams as CSV files so I could draft virtually unlimited teams and just save them all as a CSV file to import into the draft center when ready to use it. The compare features where also of immense value. I didn't play in OLs or many leagues that allowed AAA while wissearch was active, so I didn't really ever use the AAA ID features, but I heard rave reviews on them from those that did use them.

I fully agree that WIS should implement virtually everything wissearch had to offer, but especially with the killing of the spring teams, it would be very nice to have the ability to have a space we can utilize the draft center for research without having to use open teams.

Every year, they release the player spreadsheets. 

Just take them and turn them into your spring team queries.  I use them, heavilly modified, to build my progressive leage draft lists. 

If you're familiar with SQL , you can load those files into a database, and do queries that return just about anything you want (ie: Best fielding catcher who also qualifies at 3B with 500 PA and at least 8 triples is a possible query)
