I came across something that I'd never really thought about before, so I wanted to ask if anyone had seen this happen. This was D3 recruiting, but it's not really a D3-specific question.
The cycle before signings started I noticed a local player considering only a D3 sim. I decided I wanted to take him from the sim, which was no trouble at all (he had a weak WOTS message). At the 4pm cycle, he had dropped the sim and was considering only my school after 3 HVs+start+scholly. At that point, I decided to try to remove the promised start before he signed.
So really my question is at that point, what would happen if I just did inform of RS and nothing else? I expect he would probably drop me from his list, as 3 HVs+start might be borderline enough to cancel out the RS..assume for the question that it's NOT enough and he would drop me. But what about the sim? Would he go back to considering the sim and not me? Is it possible for another team to show BACK up on the list solely because of my actions? I'm thinking it is, but I've just never seen it before.
For the curious among you, I did inform of RS to remove the start, then inform of non-RS+15min+1 HV, and he signed with no problem at 7pm.
