B prestige quincy just opened up in d2 tark (and B prestige missouri st louis might come up as well). as many know, the GLV is one of the all time great d2 conferences. this year was a major down year for us - but we still sent 6 teams to the NT, had 8 altogether in the post season, and had 2 final 4 teams and the national champ. last season we sent all 12 teams to the post season, and 10 to the NT.
the GLV has been at least a top 2 conference in all of HD, outside d1, going back over 3 years now. they are consistently excellent and have a great group of coaches. so, this is a great opportunity for any coaches who is either 1) really looking for a non d1 challenge - it just doesn't get tougher than this, or 2) who is learning, and wants a great environment to get better in. many of the coaches who have come through the GLV claim that its difficulty and the helpfulness of coaches really helped them get their career going.
also, i have an outstanding offer to any GLV coaches, as a follow up to the mentoring program i ran through the conference for a long time - any GLV coach can bug me as much as they want for unlimited advice. it can be specific or general, and nothing is off the table - feel free to ask about your teams in other divisions in other worlds as well. note - its often difficult to get a spot in the conference, so anyone who tries and fails but is committed to joining the conference can take advantage of the offer, too. i like to mentor coaches, ive helped a LOT of coaches along the way (helped a few go from borderline making the NT to multi time champs, and many more to a lesser degree), but i have finite time - so GLV coaches always get the first cut.
