I want to see a system implemented where a Tom Crean situation means something. As the system is, you get credit on your resume for your most recent seasons (no matter if you were 0-30 in one and then 30-0 in the next, with them same team). There's nothing implemented to reward you for turning that program around other than a potential Coach Of The Year Award and more weight on the 30-0 season because it was the most recent (as would another 0-30 season, again, carry more weight than the 0-30 season that preceded it)

I couldn't agree with you more. In real life the bad school getting the great coach would get a ton of exposure and a big boost in recruiting. To test this (and see if it cane done on a grander scale that c-usa in rupp) i am going to try and go from one of the five best programs and best conference to the worst program in the country and second worst conference, along with others. We'll see if we can get it turned around and if so, in what amount of time. I thought what admin/seble/whomever is in charge said something interesting below in response to an inquiry of mine.

From the powers that be....
The bump is based on a linear formula so that the bigger the gap, the bigger the bump the coach gets. The bump does have a cap, and the bump may not always be visible in the letter grade, but there is a bump happening.

It's not a huge bump, but in some cases enough to help coaches during recruiting.

Thanks.

I agree.  Would motivate more people to consider a rebuild, instead of trying to wait for a good program.

I do mostly rebuilds anyways (and have no problem with starting all freshmen and tanking the first season), so this probably wouldn't affect my decisions much, but I do wonder if you'd see coaches with PIT-caliber teams just intentionally going 0-27 so that they can get the turnaround bonus.

Good to know I will be picking up a lower team again soon and have 7 to fill and didn't know if starting the FR was viable

I like taking over teams that have had little to no human input, or 0 nt appearances...its nice to put ur personal stamps on teams.
