i think its a matter of stamina and depth. i use slowdown, ALOT with press. especially early in the year if i have alot of dudes with 70ish Stam or less. i guess if you ran 12 deep the stamina would not hurt so bad and slowdown might not be needed, but i usually redshirt a kid and often have one walkon, so im usually 10 or 11 deep and , unless they have good STa (starter+backup=155-160), i find that slowdown is needed else we get alot of deadred players at end of game.
