Frankly, championships are more about just plain luck.i feel like RPI is so easy to manipulate that i never could put much stock in the consistency. besides, it penalizes teams who play for the championship from the beginning of the season, which i highly recommend for championship level teams. let someone else get the #1 rpi and go for the title, thats how ive always looked at it. not that it makes your incredible run any less incredible! i just never really cared for RPI streaks, its cool, but i dont think it means much. now that NT consistency, thats a different story :) i think that is really something. theres a ton of luck in a single NT run, but over 10 seasons, its enough games to pretty well flush things out.
