Have freshman appear on your roster as soon as they commit to your school. This would give you a lot more time to set your depth chart, practice minutes, and player distro before the first scrimmage. Seems like every year I have to scramble to get all those things done in the few hours between when players show up and the scrimmage takes place.
I like this idea! And it doesn't SEEM like it'd be terribly difficult to implement.
I agree, Do this and it makes life easier for coaches
At the same time, expand the window for entering first cycle moves - allow them to be posted for say 3 or 6 hours before the cycle actually starts at 6 ET. Would help level the playing field for folks who cant get on line in those first two hours.....because of jobs, life, spouse, kids, whatever
What about if recruiting was part of the season, you know like real life, and that way it wasn't this whirlwind of every few hours activity?
Seems to me that everything that gets condensed into that could be spread out over the season, with actions run a couple of times per week maybe and then it could be done with realistic limits on home visits, campus visits, scouting/game visits (which obviously you aren't going to do every day during the season) phone calls per week, etc. Then recruiting takes just a few minutes per day (or as long as you want it to) rather than several increments in a day or two being so important. Seems like strategy would become more interesting then too.
