Under athleticism it's description lists "agility"
Under speed it's description lists "quickness"
Quickness and Agility are synonyms for each other.
that does seem odd tanner.
when you look at those definitions, i would think you would expect most gaurds to have higher ATH than most bigs. im going off the top of my head here, so dont beat me up, but it seems to me that in hd, or at least in d3, the really good big men generally have better ATH than the really good gaurds. overall? i dunno... id guess that ATH in HD is fairly even for bigs and perimeter players.
but when we look at that FAQ and it says ATH is agility.... huh? the bigs are more agile than the perimeter players? or similar? doesnt add up.
it kinda seems the guy who wrote the FAQ is not the guy who wrote the engine... or at least wasnt thinking about it much when he jotted down notes.
the way ive always interpretted ATH for this game is that this is where strength and bulk and leaping ability are factored in. I wouldnt say that agility is the same as quickness... but i do think in HD that a players agility seems to get factored into SP.
in real life when i think of a really athletic gaurd, i tend to think about leaping ability and agility and speed.
in HD, i tend to think of high ATH gaurds as the guys who are really strong physically and can post you up or defend the post, grab some boards, and the kind of player that when driving to the basket often cradles the ball like a football as he approaches the basket and dares you to get in the way.
