I like the ability to sort player ratings using the "player role formula".  It at least gives the rankings some meaning, unlike before when they were basically useless due to the inclusion of DUR and WE.  Hopefully this will lead to an increase in discussion on the forums regarding users specific formulas used for positions.  I could care less about the color-coding.

Was hoping that they could get the recruiting update in before recruiting starts in Tark this Thursday.

I set mine to exclude STA, WE and DUR. I have no idea if it will be helpful.

its pretty nice seble is doing stuff again, though :) 

The first change is pointless who cares about the color, so what if your team has red potential.
Second change is just whatever, half of the players don't use player roles.
The positive out of all this is not the changes whether you like them or just dont care like me.... its the release notes that are coming at a rate unheard of.

Definitely a fan of the player ratings implementation. Makes for an easier understanding of player comparison and helps to set depth charts. Agree that hopefully it motivates others (and myself) to further experiment with the roles as well based on more specific needs.

I can no visualize what each player is going to be on the team page.

Now I would like to see them incorporate potential into player roles

There seems to be a bug with my team. I set my team to show player roles, and when I load my team profile it updates. However, if I change my player roles my team profile does not update unless I change my settings back to total, and then back to player roles. Anyone else having this problem?

This is 100% exactly what I was thinking. Just the fact there is any effort at all on their end is exciting. I could care less about these changes but it makes me hopeful some meaningful ones are on the horizon

Not sure what to make of it yet, but implementing the roles then looking at the team total rating as an amalgamation of them has had ... Interesting .. Results.

Not sure if useful, but definitely interesting ways to look at team gestalts.

won't be useful unless and until we can redesignate our players to the positions we want, rather than the positions they 'played in high school'. the problem i'm having is that i have some (listed) pg's playing pg, some playing sg and one playing small forward. in order to fit the players into the ratings i want, i'd have to switch the player role thrice to appreciate the settings. too much work for me. as an aside, same issue with pf and c.

I'm not sure about it either. No matter how I change it, it shows me the same values under the player role setting on my team page.

You can actually go to the player role page and click on a role .. Then all players are sorted at the bottom of the page by that role regardless of position.
