Changing player positions and the Draft Big Board Topic

Do we think that changing player position can affect his Big Board status?

Do we think that changing player position can affect his changes of All American honors and hence his draft chances?

I think the answers are no and yes.....but heck if I know.  views?

Seble's responses in a thread on this subject gave the impression that there would be no impact on draft status either way.   I have no idea whether All American awards have an impact on the draft.

I am pretty sure that in a thread at the time the Big Board was added that seble said conference honors dont have an affect, but all america does.

My theory here is that say a guy is an awesome - say - PF.  BUT, he can be changed to C, SF or SG.  Lets say you change is stated position to SG - does that make him less likely to be an All American and hence reduce his draft chances.....?????would be a devious move......?  thinking on it.....

hmmm, maybe i didn't read closely enough. all americans affect draft order, but im not sure if that means it increases chances of leaving. i really don't know either way.

interesting distinction - assumed they were the same, but you are right - may or may not be - must find that thread and re read

players are rated by the engine by what their most likely position is by their ratings..... You can make a C a PG if you want but the EE formula doesn't see it... the position you put on a player is for you as a coach only.
