Team B: Overall: 11-6, Home: 5-1, Road: 6-5, top25: 0-2, last 10: 7-3, strk: w1, RPI: 47, SOS: 71

Do you their records vs. top 50 and top 100 RPI?

Team A: 1-2 vs. Top 50, 3-3 vs Top 100

Team B: 0-4 vs. Top 50, 1-5 vs Top 100

I hope Team A is higher on the projection report.

Yeah, I would expect team A to be higher.

A would be higher.

Also, don't underestimate what you didn't say explicitly. Team B has 1 loss outside the top 100, Team A has 0.

From the 3 most important factors for the projection report (overall record record, good wins, bad losses), the original post only gave us one of them. No, top 25 rankings at the time you play someone doesn't matter nearly as much as their evolving RPI number.

That makes it seem more reasonable. Judging strictly by the team's RPIs it would appear that Team B had more success against better quality opponents. I did not mention that Team A is 1-0 against Team B.

RPI is 50% won-lost record. That can hide several bad wins.   The projection report doesn't consider head-to-head matchups

actually, RPI is only 25% win/loss record (weighted by home/away). which makes your point even more true :) RPI is 25% your record (weighed, 1.4 per road win/home loss, .6 per road loss/home win), 50% your opponents record (unweighted), and 25% your opponent's opponent's record. there is something like, your opponent's game vs you doesn't count in your opponent's record, but i don't remember exactly how that applies to opponent's opponents and such.

Most people don't realize this, however found something from either Admin or seble in the developer chat that stated that you would get more credit for a close loss against a good team compared to a lopsided loss against that same team.
