Division 1 Recruiting Help Topic

I don't have the post saved in my favorites (why is there a limit on that?), but saved a text file a list of schools by division by state.  SUPER useful when knowing where to look for recruits, but also useful to know how many teams at your division in your area:

(my apologies that I forgot who originally posted this, I went through the exercise to build it by hand then found it in the forum)

Or you could just download the Google map.  I prefer a visual presentation, myself:

Div 1:  www.whatifsports.com/forums/Posts.aspx
Div 2: www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer
Div 3: www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer

There used to be a composite Google Earth map that allowed you to select which Div you wanted to see.  I have it installed on my Google Earth but can't seem to find it, now.

The visuals are good too, but for me it can be easier to say, oh Ohio has 13 D1 teams, 4 of them are As/Bs.  When picking a new team the chart is helpful, or knowing what states to peek into for recruiting.  At D3 why not scout SC which has 12 D2 schools but no D3 schools, etc.

Are the scouts opinions in the scouting trip messages regarding a player liking the program trustworthy? Do they show level of interest or net interest compared to other teams?

I don't think so.  I think you have to trust the scholarship messages/Word on the streets FSS data (which can become quickly outdated after a few cycles of course).  I seem to recall puling down guys and getting very positive messages from uncle in the stands only to not even be on the considering list b/c of other schools efforts.

Looking for a zone coach to give me some input on a potential recruit. Ideally someone who doesn't have a team in Tark but I'll take what I can get.
