I decided to play FLEX but I have been struggling with it. I know why, I normally only have an outside shooter and sometimes that shooter is not athletic enough. I know shooting in flex is affected by ballhandling and speed also, am I right? Anyways, how many shooters do you need for your FLEX offense to be potent? What do you shoot for in stats at DIII, at DII?

I always have a good offensive threat Inside so it's not the problem I think. My offense struggle and I lose games because the third option, a shooter, is not efficient enough.

Against man to man defense, it's hell, they put their best defender on my shooter and I am like crying for options.

Generally speaking a good perimeter player has HIGH PER, SPD and BH....in that order.......I think 2 good perimetger scorers is enough......at D3 a "great shooter" is 80's across the board, a good shooter is 70's and a guy I am comfortable with is 60's....I think 1 point of PER is worth 1 point of SPD and BH....for example a 90 PER 40 SPD and BH guy is roughly equal (offensively) to a 80 PER 50 SPD and BH.....Althought I think the 80/50/50 is the better "player" and probably a very effective scorer

Ok, so athleticism is not important. My DII scorers are like this :

Cotten 66 speed, 55 BH, 92 PER
Dowdy 71 speed, 74 BH, 63 PER
Maxwell 83 speed, 76BH, 56 PER

I have been struggling scoring. Maxwell scored against press, that's it. Cotten is up and down, he either pours 25 + or get me a line where he shoots 33%. I thought it was their athleticism playing a part. Dowdy is a back-up, not sure what he can do.

I am hoping one of my sophomore develops, but these guys don't have much to develop anymore.

In DIII

I have

Shelton 66 speed, 86 BH, and 80 PER
Williams is 69 speed, 62 BH, 93 PER
And my other hope would be : 58 speed, 62 BH, 52 PER

How would you set up the distro? I mean, I have struggled ... and struggled when it came to scoring in games. I thought athleticism was holding me back.

I don't think your DII results are that bad.  Cotton, after adjusting for 3 pt. shooting, is hitting 57.6% for the season and Maxwell is at 50%.   Forthe team, you're hitting 52.3%

Your DIII team is even better.    Shelton is shooting 59.4% and Williams is at 62.3%.  Your entire TEAM is hitting 53.7%

Mt. ST. Joseph is hitting 42.9% of their 3's...that's the equivalent of 63.3% inside.   You're averaging 18.8 attempts/game. That's about where i like my teams to be

Findlay is hitting 36.7% of their 3's...the equivalent of 55.05% inside
