I believe the most recent seasons carry more weight, but they smoothed out the weighting. You probably remember this, but it used to carry HUGE weight on your most recent season for job applications.

Yes. Wasn't the last season worth like 50% at one point?

Or extreme success to compensate for a lack of longevity. Seriously.

I was only able to qualify for Fordham after winning 7 National Championships at Palm Beach Atlantic, and they were a D-. I won the championship the year before I left. It is possible, but you are better off going to D2 and moving up from there if you want a better team. I jumped from Delta State to Penn State in Smith, but I think that was before the job logic changed. Penn State was a C-, and I had a great record at Delta State. I don't think that this would be possible now, though I am not sure.

I may be thinking of coaches that made the move in the past, back in the HD Stone Age, ha ha!!
