I believe the most recent seasons carry more weight, but they smoothed out the weighting. You probably remember this, but it used to carry HUGE weight on your most recent season for job applications.

a little unrelated but it is possible to go from d3 tod1, i just assume the requiremnts are at least double and need extreme longitivity

I was only able to qualify for Fordham after winning 7 National Championships at Palm Beach Atlantic, and they were a D-. I won the championship the year before I left. It is possible, but you are better off going to D2 and moving up from there if you want a better team. I jumped from Delta State to Penn State in Smith, but I think that was before the job logic changed. Penn State was a C-, and I had a great record at Delta State. I don't think that this would be possible now, though I am not sure.
