Not usual. This is why I send home visits one-by-one. That way they can only be rejected one-by-one.

if he has rejected does that mean im out of luck in getting him?  he also now considered a high priority for a sim school, I have a C+ compared to C- for them. Any hope?

also isnt sending them together multiply the effect? so 4 in cycle has more recruiting than 1 per cycle 4x

Not necessarily out of luck getting him - as long as he is at your division, you have at least an outside shot. The rest depends upon who else is after him.

its still just a sim team with a lower prestige,, and again this cycle hes rejected my visits.

Are you sure he every accepted any visits .. and did not "skip out" on those.

Do remember though that SIMAI teams do not have the distance restrictions of human coaches, so they submit effort that is not impacted by distance.  If they are "solid" on this guy, it can take significant effort to overcome.

Also, a large amount of excess effort by the SIMAI team can mean that it is hard to get your initial efforts seen at all, even if you are a bit better in prestige.

Yes the first cycle I sent 4 HV and 1 CV all were accepted.  Since then hes rejected 2 cycles of 2x HV as well as gaurenteed minutes, and starts 2x.

The Sim's actually closer to him than me about 200 for them and 250 me

FSS says hes a very high priority so I assume hes had massive amounts of money thrown at him by them... very frustrating, he was my #1 priority

If he's "tight" with a sim, you'll get a lot of rejected efforts at first until you show up on the considering list.  You'll likely need to ramp up the effort big time.  Think along the lines of 7 CVs or 15 HVs if you want to win the recruit.  That's just a rough estimate though.  You may end up needing more...

I recruited a player in DIII that was very tight with a DII simai successfully a while ago.   I believe it took 17 HV and 15-20 scouting trips to pull him down, plus guarantees.

If the player is close to you I wouldnt be immediately turned off by that very tight message if he is your top priority

If FSS says he's "a very high priority" for the SIM then that's the SAME as "very tight" with the SIM - and this explains what you've been seeing.

It means the SIM has poured a lot of effort into the guy before you ever got a chance to do so. It can be overcome, but you need to tread lightly and ask yourself some very important questions:

1. Is this particular player really that important? Or are there other similar players out there? If there are others, abandon ship on this guy and go get one. If he's that great in your mind, then move on to my next question...

2. How many scholarships do you have open, and how many did the sim have? If you don't have at least as many as the sim, I'd say forget it. The more you have the better because then you have more money, which brings us to:

3. How much of your money are you willing to commit to getting this player? It's going to take a hefty sum to beat out the sim, since it's already spent quite a bit. If you are willing to do what it takes, you may have a shot, but willingness isn't all...

4. How many other battles do you think you'll be facing (or are you facing)? If you're involved heavily elsewhere, you may find you don't have the money to pull the kid away from the sim - and if that's the case, you're better off not investing any of it to begin with.

The sim invests all of its money up front, so once you have the sim beat, you've won unless someone else joins the battle. But if you can't beat the sim out, then any money you put to the kid by trying is a complete waste.

But if you are trying to fight the sim, send HVs one by one. Send ten in one cycle, but send them one by one. If seven of them are rejected, at least the other three got through.

When I've battled in D1, I've sent 30 HVs in a cycle (in groups of three) and had three sets of three get rejected. But that's still 21 HVs that got through, so I still made some progress. If I was still behind, I could just send the other 9 next cycle.

Yes, send HVs either individually or in small groups. For some reason when a guy is on the fence about your school, he'll reject and accept on a seemingly random basis.
