Why do cut players not show up on past rosters? I wanted to look and see whatever happened to a guy I cut, but he's now no longer listed during the years he played.

Perhaps he wasn't signed by another team????  I've never cut a player so I don't know how that works

I'm not sure what happens to guys if they are cut and don't get picked up by another team, but here's an example of a guy I cut that got picked up the following season by Howard.  In the "past seasons rosters" he doesn't show up under Minnesota any more but instead shows up under Howard which is kind of screwy.  You'd think he'd at least show on the Minnesota roster for season 65 and Howard's for 66 through 68.

Do you have other players on that past roster that you recruited the same season as the missing player?  If so, can you tell me what their player id# is?

Yeah, it's weird. Because of this, past rosters can show 13+ players on a team.

Could be, Al, although I think somebody would have taken a flyer. He was low athleticism, but still had good point guard makeup. Certainly possible that he fell through the cracks, though.

Some cut guys disappear from the game entirely...I don't like it anymore than the next guy, but what can you do?

so i had a similar question with a player that transferred (this guy). the player was absent from my past roster (i tried finding him to see who'd sign him), but i was able to see his profile because i had a message from him in my inbox. throughout recruiting, his profile showed that he was on my team, but he did not appear on my team page. to my knowledge, he didn't appear in a recruits search during the recruiting period. at no point did his player profile show that he was considering a team. and lo' and behold, he's now on a sim team! what's also weird about it is that his name still shows in the inbox - not even my current players' names survive a season rollover.
