Happy to make it to the NT while rebuilding but not sure how my conference mate go a higher seed.

Both split the regular season and tied for conference. I then beat them in the CT finals.

Them  RPI 55  SOS 192
      Me RPI 40 SOS 11

They got an 11 seed and I'm a 13. Would much rather face their opponent...

He won a lot more games than you did....

RPI boosted by losses against top teams - which is what you have - doesn't do much for your seeding.  I would have expected them to be ahead of you.  Neither of you have any good wins or terrible losses, so in the end, it mostly comes down to record.

dahs got it covered, basically at some point sos doesn't help as much if you accumulate too many losses.

You should really have not scheduled much or any of those non-conf games, you would've been much better off scheduling teams that are weaker but still end up with enough wins to give you a solid rpi/sos.

A big mistake I see new people make(I did this really badly too and wound up going to the PI a lot when I first started) is that they schedule 10 humans games when they don't have a team capable of playing that schedule when they could schedule 10 games that might not be as "exciting" but actually benefit them more.

Yeah, I realized the mistake right before the season, scheduled way too hard. Will never do that again.  Just thought SOS held more weight then beating more bad teams.

No.  Just beating bad teams doesn't help much either.  Your ideal, as such, should be "Schedule the best games you think you can win."  Don't schedule games you don't think you have a chance at.    Not that I've always done that, but still.

Comparing, the other team is 4-4 against the top 100 rpi, 1-3 against the top 50 RPI, 0-1 against the top 25 RPI - no embarrassing losses.

You are 4-11 against top 100, 1-9 against top 50 and 0-7 against the top 25.  Also no embarrassing losses.

Loook at those teams with the numbers filed off, which resume is superior.

I barely made it myself, a 1 seed being taken to OT in the 2nd round...

Welp, here comes the upset.  The S16 hates me with a burning passion.  I'm around 4-11 in the S16  better see if Villanova's flute player is available for a loan.

Amazing job against Washington they were like 5th in bullmans NC odds

A lot of luck. Lost to my 2nd round sim opponent by 1 in the regular season so made some easy adjustments.

BOL tonight. Pressure is on the 1 =)
