Are coaches replies accurate? Topic

when a kids coach says that a certain school is ahead, is that accurate?  I think so, but wonder.

I don't think so?  I see a lot of the "you have a lot of selling to do, another team seems to be in the lead" with nobody (else) being considered.  When another team is being considered along with me and I get that type of message (rare, because I wouldn't call the coach in a battle, and how else would you get that message?) I don't trust it for ahead/behind.

So you mean as a response to a coaches call, correct?

correct - a coach call during a battle

I hardly ever call the coach during a battle, but a guy I know did and asked and I was wondering what folks think.

Hmmm, interesting.  Have never used for testing that way.  But the way I see it, WOTS will show who's ahead/behind, and if status changes - you move from ahead to behind, you'll get an email from the player anyway showing that .... unless it's a non scouted state?  or an international?

interesting.  I think the answer might be yes.  In the cases where when you first call a kid and nobody is considering ... it could be the "someone is in the lead" is another coach/sim that doesn't have enough effort in to be considered, but is technically ahead of you.

I don't think you ever need to send a coach call during a battle.  In any event, the tea leaves can be read by reading the scholarship messages.  So, to answer the question, I'd like to know what the scholarship message read before receiving the response to the coach call.

My guess is that the coach calls are worthless as the cheapest effort is processed first in each cycle.  The change the in the schollie message is processed after all the other effort.  So, the response to the coach call, if accurate, might not only be accurate for 1 minute; or until the new schollie message is delivered.  Just a hypothesis.
