Moving to Big 6 requirements Topic

Sadly I only got boosted to a C+, I had hopes I might've been able to get to a B- after the NT win.  Not sure what I'll qualify for.  Probably a C providence.  C+ Texas Tech is stretching it, and I won't get a B Minnesota.

I'll probably just end up doing another super class from Yale since I'll be recruiting from a C+ this season and should get a B- next season as I'll probably be like 28-2 NT 1st Round next season with the upcoming seniors I have.

Are you able to jump up from a D-3 team to a big 6 job? I was a long shot in IBA for Purdue (C-) and Kansas St (C-), but am not sure if I would have got either of those jobs if I applied.
Yes it is possible, but it requires a long run of success at D3. The teams in question were either C or C- prestige. If you are longshot for those jobs now, you are probably pretty close to being eligible.
Here is a D3 resume that qualifies for D- D1 jobs....and it was done in just 4 seasons of D3.  As people keep alluding to, you need NT success to move to and move up in D1....merely getting to the NT isn't always enough.

While my resume isn't impressive, I thought it would be enough to move into Fresno St at the very least. But no. This process for promotions is useless. There is no reason I should not be able to get a perennial bottom feeding Fresno St with what I have accomplished at BC.

How high will I be able to go now that I have achieved B prestige thanks to back to back seasons with NT wins.

Will I land B- jobs if no one else applies?

If other coaches apply who can I beat out?

my last 3 seasons are 85-7, all 3 seasons top 25 rpi, 2 ranked seasons, and 1st round NT, 2nd, 2nd

Assuming this is in Tark, here are my guesses:

Seton Hall/Fresno St-you'll be qualified
Iowa St-I think you'll qualified

Not qualified for other big 6 jobs.

I just wanted to make sure I had the same thought process, now its just seeing what opens up as well.  Seton Hall is somewhat attractive.

Iowa State and Fresno State were step backwards.

Seton Hall was keep looking and rejected.

If I stay at Yale I probably won't repeat with 3 striaght NT bids after 1 down season, I could see 1 NT bid and 2 PI bids maybe 2 NT and 1 PI.  At this point since I am B prestige does it make sense to stay at Yale?  Will staying help get anything better like B- to B jobs?

There is only SH left. I think you are better off at Yale unless you can find a mid-major already built, maybe Wichita State.

I was answering his question about getting a Big 6 job straight from D3. At some point during my 5 titles in 10 seasons run in D3, I became eligible for Big 6 jobs. I don't remember exactly at what point that happened, but it did take a while.

Certainly it is possible to get a low level D1 job more quickly, as your example shows.

Texas just opened up at a C prestige, bet you'll be eligible for that.

Seems like a very attractive job though, probably some good looking resumes will get put in for that job but its worth a shot.

Yeh I have been watching that because of the resume glad it opened but 0% chance I get it, and anyone who gets it is going to be leaving a B+ job or better that I won't qualify for like B Nebraska...

How far will a no post season affect me next season as I have probably all sophomore and freshmen

and quick q what is the order of keep looking, longshot, step backwards in terms of never, never ever, and are you serious? chances of getting a job?

Texas is step backwards for me(lol)

Before Tark I knew how ****** job process was just from hearing about it from other people, but now that I am experiencing it I just want to stangle seble while screaming "you still think recruiting is more important than hiring/firing logic"

I want my own HD with blackjack and hookers.

If you dont renew and then come back do you have a better chance of being qualified for something? I seem to be stuck at Cal Irvine.
12/28/2015 8:16 AM
No. It does not change anything.
12/28/2015 8:19 AM
God damn this is really ******* bs, I'm serious thinking of dropping down to D3 and just giving up on d1 this is crap I'm a ******* B prestige at Yale coming off back to back seasons with NT wins and I don't qualify for **** and I lose out to Texas to a coach with 2 PI seasons at St Johns because of their extensive D2 history (no offense MyGen your better anyways and Texas will be A prestige very soon). I can't get C+ Seton Hall and now obviously B St. John's. In real life boosters would be paying millions to buy me out and ay my salary and I'd be one of the hottest coaching talents in the nation. This is ******* stupid now I have to wait for either of those programs to descend more into sim lead shitholes and then waste time rebuilding them all while taking a loyalty hit because the god damn logic will think Yale is a better job oppertunity even though it's ******* pointless to try and win **** there or at least much tougher while ****** or average big 6 coaches get to coast by with crap records and sucess and maintain the same level prestige as me and beat me out because of bonus cash....
