Making Chowan university a A+ prestige Topic

Making Chowan university a A+ prestige is one of my main goals before I make the jump to the higher division possible diviison 1 if I build a nice resume for myself. My question is with a 2-0 career record playing my first human game tonight https://www.whatifsports.com/hd/schedule/ even spread and double teaming his best premiter player I should come out with a W how long will it take being in the best conference to make it a A+ prestige? I originally want to only scout nc players and build a nc squad and make it a all nc or whatever in buzzerbeater they would've called it homegrown. But my mentor said scout the southeast reigion i'm just making a assumption Ok he didnt say the southeast region he said https://www.whatifsports.com/sitemail/message.asp?mid=13908990 "NC, SC, VA, and possibly MD and/or WV"-darnoc29099. One more question could a coach get offer a job or do we have to apply for the job?

You have to apply for all jobs you are interested in and qualify for

Congrats on your first two wins!

So I was about to talk about your team and mention how your defense and ath is VERY low. But then I noticed something even more important. Are you changing your defense from Man to Press? Or are you playing Press accidentally? Amazing that you won those two games with bad IQs in Press so even more kudos there!

So, if you are indeed trying to change your defense from Man to Press, then it's going to slow down your road to A+ prestige (or even a conf championship which perhaps would be a better goal to start with).

Rebuilds in HD usually take 3-5 seasons based on how development works and IQ. I'll just say prepare to get destroyed in conference play, the only real chances you have of even coming close to a win is NCWC and Ferrum, otherwise the humans are all going to be ~20+ point losses.  Your non conference doesn't seem to bad so you can probably nab a few wins, but they won't mean anything.  Whatever you do schedule the easiest games possible in non-conf do not schedule humans even if they suck, you want to just schedule automatic wins at this point.

I'm sure you know about what types of players to recruit especially to become A+ prestige which takes success.  Your first two players are probably not going to contribute very much to a winning squad.

It seems you are running a press right now, I'd suggest switching to the man since thats what the returning players know, if you want to run the press I'd keep playing man, but practice the press defense and switch once the IQ is high enough, you don't learn press IQ faster by playing the press defense only by practicing it.

You definitely need to scout more than just NC to get good, you could manage since NC is one of the best places to recruit, but you are severely limiting yourself for something that you should try later on after you've established yourself.

To go to D1 straight from D3 you will have to build up Chowan and probably need 8+ consecutive seasons of NT bids not going far and maybe 6+ if you can manage a few deep runs.  It's possible to move up really quick but you would be needing E8 or farther every season.

Rebuilding teams sucks and takes a long time, it's not fun and is a really bad part about HD, 4-5 seasons is at least 6 months before you can potentially start to make noise if you recruit strong, but once you get there it is really fun.

If you have time I'd highly suggest moving to a 2 games a day world as they move much faster ~30 days compared to 45 days so 4-5 seasons is ~4 months compared to 6 months.

Okay, just checking to make sure that was on purpose.

Well, as Only said, be prepared to lose a lot. Especially this season until they learn the new system. You could, if you wanted, practice Press but play Man for the games. It won't affect the rate they learn (again as Only said). But at least this lessens the blow you'll get from running a defense no one on the team knows.

Will the game update at midnight?

Also, looks like you're only playing 9 guys and left Ellison and Moulder off your depth chart. Your guys are going to be dead tired running press with 9 guys (especially running uptempo like you have been). I'd put those guys on your depth chart.

Edit- my fault. Didn't see Moulder.

What amount are you practice you should've seen improvement already but still have press IQ in the F's might want to make sure you are practicing Press.

thats totally fine - but if you are just starting to practice press, then your press iq is probably god awful. unless you are starting like 4+ freshman, you should play man defense now, usually for about 1 season but sometimes less, sometimes more, depending on the situation (basically play man until your press iq catches up to it).

how long for a+? it COMPLETELY depends on your success. if you do it in 5 seasons, that would be incredible, so hunker down, gonna be a minute :) basically, you need to be able to make the NT consistently, as the first step, thats pretty much the hallmark of a good coach. that would get you to like an a-, so then you just need 1 or 2 good seasons from there. super fast coaches with a mentor might be able to consistently make the NT after a few seasons, for some, it takes 10, 20, 50, 100... so, rather difficult to predict :)

good luck you though!!

5 seasons is incredible? Well thank you for the compliment :)

I got a little lucky and some things went my way but I got Ramapo to A+. Helped big time that they lost 9 guys when I took over and I was able to get some real good local guys right away. Got one nice deep run bumped me from a B.
