Any chance it'll work. His growth is just been better than I ever expected. Would have 2 SF on the roster who could easily play next year. 
He's +39 in LP, + 29 in PER, +16 in SPD and still high in all

Well, if you do it, his WE will drop, so don't expect any more growth.

Some have said that you can set him to mopup and grow him for the year.. Then apply the Red Shirt at the end and he will come back even though he will have complained 2 times.. Then you can get the seasons growth out of him.

You can try it, and if it doesn't work you'll remove it no harm done. It is possible he takes it though unlikely.

Hughes, Seble claimed he fixed that bug when he did his redshirting update.

I agree with you, but some people here yelled at me a couple of months ago and said it still works. Let me find the link
