The D1 Summit League was once a grand experiment to help challenge the major conferences in D1. There was a lot of progress with 12 consistent coaches, but some left for the dark side (big 6 teams)

There are 7 committed coaches, and 5 openings. The Summit League consistently gets at least 4 (sometimes 5 or 6) teams in the NT. We want to push it further. The schools are geographically pretty far from each other, so there's not much in-conference competition.

Thanks, and I agree. There's some prime recruiting ground now that the SEC is so empty.
